Ercan Bastu, MSc, MD, Prof. was born in 1978. Dr. Bastu graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2002 and completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency in 2008 in Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. After government mandatory service, Dr. Bastu worked as a REI research fellow between 2010-2011 at Harvard University Medical School.
Dr. Bastu returned to Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine as a REI subspecialist in 2011 and received associate professor appointment in 2014. In 2016, Dr. Bastu completed MSc in Advanved Gynecological Endoscopy in University of Surrey and MSc in Clinical Embryology in University of Leeds. As of 2017, Dr. Bastu works in Acibadem Fulya Hospital and also has an academic appointment in Acibadem University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In 2018, Dr. Bastu established Endometriosis Center in Acibadem Fulya Hospital. His research interests are endoscopic surgery techniques, endometriosis, IVF, implantation failure and repeated pregnancy loss. Dr. Bastu is married and has a son. Dr. Bastu has over 60 manuscripts that were published in SCI indexed journals and gave numerous presentations in national and international meetings. Internationally, he is a member of ASRM, AAGL, ESHRE and ESGE.
