What do we know about chocolate cyst. For example, it is a benign cyst, that means it does not lead to death. However, if it is not treated women lead a life full of pain.

Pain is not the only problem this cyst causes. There is another, a much important complication; which is infertility. Let’s phrase it so that every woman can understand it: infertility, unable to conceive children.

Famous names joined forces with Endometriosis&Adenomyosis Society to increase awareness about this disease. Famous reporter and TV programmer Serap Pekoz, famous states pianist Gulsin Onay and famous actress Ayca Varlier sent the following message to women; ‘do not live with this benign cyst which causes severe pain. It is not life threatening but it can lead to infertility. Call you doctor, do not ignore.’

In Turkey about 2 million women have chocolate cyst. It is usually mistaken for regular menstruation pain. Specialist say that women usually think that they just have more pain than others and they do not take the symptoms seriously. But, one out of 10 women have chocolate cyst and they don’t know it.
